We’re happy to announce that PLANET ARGON is the new host for the Globalize Rails project. The purpose of the Globalize project is to bring support for multilingual applications to the Ruby on Rails framework. Our Rails development team has used this in several projects recently and Lead Architect, Jeremy Voorhis, will be presenting a talk at Canada on Rails about i18n in Rails.

We are excited to announce that not one, but two PLANET ARGON Core Team members have been added to the schedule for the Canada on Rails conference! Sometime between April 13th and 14th, Robby Russell, founder of PLANET ARGON, will present Sneaking Rails into the (Legacy) System, and Jeremy Voorhis, Lead Architect, will present Internationalizing Rails. Be sure to check the official schedule for exact presentation times.

Jeremy gave a presentation on i18n in Ruby on Rails on January 3rd, 2006 at the first Portland Ruby Brigade meeting of the new year. Check out his slideshow from the presentation and read his blog entry about the event.

Jeremy Voorhis will be joining us in Portland (from Ohio!) next week as the third member of the PLANET ARGON core team. Jeremy will be working closely with Robby on custom development work, as well as on their top-secret project, Refactoring Rails!
